Photobucket my name is Renata... which in latin means "Reborn." I remember nothing of my birth or life, but my rebirth is as vivid as the sun in the sky.

I was changed into my current state in 1720. When I was changed I forgot my life completely, including my name, so when I regained consciousness the men surrounding me gave me the name I have today.

I was terrified at first, knowing nothing of where I was or who the men were, but soon they told me their story, and eventually they revealed to me what I had become... A Vampire...

I remember the terrible burn in my throat being unbearable at first, this overpowering urge to destroy all things beautiful, including human life. I began to drink heavily from humans, their blood becoming the only antidote to my horrible sickness.

The three men who greeted me when I awoke from transformation were Aro, Marcus, and Caius... Three vampires who had lived together, with their wives for the last 900 years or so. They were incredibly wise and their power matched their wisdom. Marcus and Aro both had gifts, and they would later teach me of mine. In addition to the three elders and their wives Sulpicia, Athenodora, and Didyme there were several others. Demetri, Heidi and the twins Jane and Alec. Not long after my arrival came Felix... The muscular giant.

Personal history: In 1935, Emmett was out hunting in the mountains of Tennessee when he was attacked by a bear. He very nearly died, but Rosalie found him and brought him to Carlisle to be saved. Emmett describes the event as being saved by an angel who brought him to God. Once the pain of the change had passed, Rosalie and Carlisle explained the situation to him, and to their surprise, the whole vampire issue didn’t disturb him. In his own words: “But if Carlisle and Rosalie, my angel, were vampires, how bad could it be?" He had trouble with the rules at first and has tasted human blood on several occasions.

He is married to Rosalie, and has married her several times for show. Emmett will do anything to make Rosalie happy, and since Rosalie likes attention and is all about show, she gets a wedding every so many years. Often time, he and Rosalie live away from the others as a newlywed couple.
